Affordable dedicated server options in the USA?

Looking for reliable and affordable dedicated server providers in the USA. Any suggestions from your experience?

I used to have servers about 12-15 years ago with LayeredTech and FastTech, but I’m not sure which companies are solid these days.

Edit: I should mention I need the server to come with a cPanel license.

Are you looking for HIPAA compliance or anything specific?

Just curious why you prefer dedicated over cloud VPS.

No need for HIPAA compliance. I like dedicated servers for full resource control. Also, I need cPanel.

Depends on what you need:

  • If you want good value, check Contabo. They offer cheap but somewhat slower servers.

  • For Ryzen processors, Hetzner has good options but mostly in Germany and Finland.

For US servers:

  • Linode, Vultr, and DigitalOcean are solid choices for cheap VPS options.

Each can run cPanel as long as you’ve got 2GB+ RAM, but if you prefer dedicated servers, they do tend to be pricier in the US.

If you’re open to non-US options, Hetzner’s affordable servers in Europe are solid. cPanel runs well on 2GB+ RAM, and Hetzner allows for a dedicated license if needed. In the US, options are pricier, but I’d still consider them.

The US options are Intel only for VPS, but cPanel should still work fine.

Yep, US pricing tends to be higher. Companies here charge more because they can.

Been with Quadranet for nearly a decade. Solid uptime and good tech support. I have my servers colocated in LA with them.
