Anyone Else Having Super Slow Updates With BlueHost?

I’m in the middle of setting up a website using BlueHost, but I’ve hit a bit of a snag. Sometimes when I upload new files, they show up on the site instantly, but other times it feels like I’m waiting forever—like hours or even days. I’m starting to wonder if this is just how BlueHost operates or if there’s something else going on. Has anyone else dealt with this? And if so, are there better hosting options out there that don’t have these delays? Appreciate any advice you can throw my way…

Is BlueHost really the problem? Are you sure it’s BlueHost causing the delays? Sometimes it could be caching issues or even your browser not refreshing properly. I had a similar issue with another host, and it turned out it wasn’t them at all. Maybe try clearing your cache or using a different browser before jumping ship?

I’ve used BlueHost for a while, and honestly, it’s been mostly smooth sailing for me. Sure, there are occasional hiccups, but turning off any caching plugins during development helps speed things up.

Ugh, I’m right there with you. I’ve had projects completely stalled because BlueHost took its sweet time updating changes. I finally had enough and switched to A2 Hosting.

I’ve been a loyal BlueHost user for years and haven’t really had major issues. Sometimes updates take a while, but it’s usually when I’m working on a super busy day for traffic.

I’ve played around with a bunch of hosts, and yeah, BlueHost can be slow at times. But, before ditching them, try disabling any CDNs or caching systems temporarily when you update. If that doesn’t work, maybe give InMotion Hosting a shot.

Oh wow, I’m glad it’s not just me. I’m new to all this and thought I was doing something wrong. It’s frustrating to see updates not reflect right away. I’ve been considering trying out HostGator—any thoughts? Are they any faster?

I’d recommend A2 Hosting…

I’ve been in the hosting game since the early 2000s, and I’ve seen my fair share of hosts. BlueHost isn’t the worst, but yeah, they can be slow. Back in the day, I’d FTP everything and check logs for issues. Sometimes it’s just the nature of shared hosting. If you want something faster, maybe look at a VPS with DigitalOcean—more control, faster updates.
