Cheapest trusted ssl provider?

Hey all,

I’m looking for a trusted SSL for a small project (can’t use self-signed because it needs to be from a trusted source) and only need it for a 1-year term.

I found some options, but they all seem to lock you into 4-5 years. Anyone know where I can get a cheap SSL for just a single year?

Thanks!

Let’s Encrypt is as cheap as it gets, literally $0 a month. Not sure why you wouldn’t just go with them.

Also, if you’re using Gandi for domains, they include a free SSL too.

Let’s Encrypt is a great option: https://letsencrypt.org/

Just a heads up, there’s talk about reducing certificate validity to 90 days in the near future.

*Trusted certs only

bro SSL can be completely free. try Cloudflare or Let’s Encrypt.

Honestly, people shouldn’t even be buying SSL certificates anymore.

You can get a free SSL with Let’s Encrypt, but you’ll need to make sure it gets renewed regularly, so ask your provider if they support it.

If you have a bit of a budget, RapidSSL is also an option.

Or try Cloudflare; they give you a valid certificate for 10 years lol.

Cloudflare is the cheapest and the easiest to set up.

Check out SSLS.com, I think it’s around $10 for a year.

SSL often comes free with new domain registrations.

I don’t trust what I’m seeing here. Just a note to everyone, always double-check what you read online.

Exactly, sometimes these comments just waste space.

Yeah, let’s keep this place helpful.

Google Domains includes free SSL with their domain services.

Let’s Encrypt is a solid option if you want free SSL.
