Do I Need a Managed WordPress Plan?

Hey folks,

I’m migrating to Zume after 5 years with SG, and I’m trying to figure out the best plan for my needs.

I have an existing WordPress site that I’ve been managing on my own, but I think it could definitely use some optimization. Some plugins are outdated, and the theme is kind of clunky.

I’m thinking about getting a Managed WordPress package to get some help with this, then switching back to a regular shared plan later. I like to tinker with things myself, but I just don’t have the time to start from scratch anymore. I’d rather have a pro clean everything up, and then I can take over maintenance.

Does this make sense, or do you think I should take a different route? I feel like I’ve kind of answered my own question, but I’d still love any suggestions :thinking:

Managed WordPress will cause you the fewest difficulties if you’re a novice. You may get by without it; it’s not absolutely necessary.

Once everything is sorted out, switching to a regular shared hosting package will allow you to manage things independently. Just make sure that the managed service you choose offers good support and backups while you’re making that transition!
