Expiring domain... how long before I can buy?

There’s a domain I’ve been eyeing that looks like it’s expiring soon. How long is the usual grace period before I could try to grab it from GoDaddy?

The grace period usually lasts around 30 days after expiration.

Would you suggest reaching out now to make a deal or just wait until it’s officially available?

For most generic TLDs like .com or .org, there’s a grace period of about 30 days, then a 5-day pending delete phase.

GoDaddy might auction it or hold onto it. If you see it in ‘pending delete,’ then you’ll have a better chance to buy it.
