GoDaddy owns the domain I want to purchase and offers a "broker service" to contact the owner

I want to buy a domain, but “GoDaddy” owns it (checked with whois). I visited godaddy.com and entered the domain name, which led me to a page offering a “broker service” for $60 to “contact the owner” and inquire if they want to sell it.

Is this legitimate? Is there a way to find out how to buy the domain and for how much without using their “broker services”?

GoDaddy is such a huge entity to use brokers of that calibre. The deals does not seem legit.

Proceed and look for another domain.
They will continue to make money as long as more people fall for their tactics.

GoDaddy’s brokerage service is currently one of the worst choices available. They seem more interested in collecting the brokerage fee than in successfully acquiring the domain name you want.
