I want to maintain a portfolio website for the lowest cost possible. Squarespace and Format have nice templates, but $15/month is too much.
How much would it cost to host my own webpage? I already have the domain. What other steps are involved in achieving this? Can I hire a web designer to set up my portfolio? I don’t plan on updating it for a while. Any information helps! Thank you.

If all you need is static hosting, there are free options like GitHub pages or an alternative to Cloudflare that I can not remember right now.

Unless you are hosting the site on your own server at home, you will need to hire a different company to host it for you; see the sidebar for options.
If you do not wish to pay monthly, you will still have to pay something to use their services.
