How long does it take to transfer a domain from one Wix site to another?

Hi everyone,

I recently created a new site on Wix and want to use it with an existing domain I have. I’m new to this and noticed some people say it can take up to 7 days—does that apply only when switching out of Wix? I need this site to be live by Monday, so any insight would be great!

If the domain is in the same Wix account and you just want to switch it to a new site, it should be instant. Just reassign your premium plan to the new site.

When transferring a domain into Wix, it usually takes about 7 days, but switching between sites within Wix itself is much quicker—often just a few hours. Make sure everything in your domain settings is set up before Monday, and you should be all set!
