Check out DreamHost. Been using them for years, and they even offer free plans for non-profits. Basic hosting is around $2.59/month, and it’s solid for small sites.
A VPS from Hetzner with CloudPanel or Enhance.com would be way more flexible than shared hosting.
They offer great prices and free SSL with migration included.
