If I just want to save the WordPress content, can I only save the files?
Sure, but to keep the site running, you’ll need the database. Without it, you’ll get a ‘database connection error.’

@Amy
So if I export from PhpMyAdmin and import on the new host, will that work?

That’ll work, or you can just do a full backup in cPanel to restore on the new host.

I’m on PleskPanel right now.

Ah, in that case, use PhpMyAdmin.

Backing up is always key… even if it’s a bit of a pain sometimes!
