Hey guys, have you heard about the issues with 1and1.com? They’ve been charging me for services I never signed up for, like PHP extended support, even after I unsubscribed. I’m switching to Namecheap for hosting. Any tips for a newbie like me? Also, anyone have experience with Namecheap? My sites don’t get much traffic.

Never purchase hosting from a provider that primarily focuses on domains. While they’re okay, trust me, there are plenty of other hosts out there that offer better prices and more flexibility.

I’ve been using Namecheap for domain registration, but I haven’t tried their shared web hosting yet. So far, they seem alright, I suppose.

1and1 is absolutely terrible! Avoid them like the plague!
