I’ve been using cPanel for years without any major issues, but recently I tried to set up a site with a .GG domain and ran into a brick wall. cPanel just doesn’t seem to play nice with it. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on how to fix it? I once had a similar issue with a .IO domain, but that was a quick fix. This one has me stumped…
I’ve had a similar issue before. Sometimes cPanel needs a bit of tweaking to recognize less common TLDs like .GG. Have you tried updating your cPanel to the latest version? Sometimes these updates include support for new TLDs.
@nelly I think the problem might be with your registrar. Some registrars don’t properly configure DNS settings for certain TLDs. Check if your .GG domain’s DNS settings are correctly set up. I had a similar issue with a .TV domain once, and fixing the DNS settings did the trick.
Wow, I didn’t even know .GG was a thing😅 I’m learning so much from this forum. Hope you get it sorted, @nelly
I don’t have much to add, but I’m curious to see how this gets resolved. Keep us posted.
You should check your server’s configuration. Sometimes the server itself might not be set up to handle certain TLDs. Look into your Apache or Nginx settings and see if there’s anything there that might be blocking the .GG domain.
If all else fails, you might want to consider using a different control panel that has better support for .GG TLDs. Plesk, for example, might handle it better. Just a thought.
