It doesn’t resemble the game created by the same individuals. It appears to be a cheap asset flip or something similar. Why release Postal so soon when it’s meant to last for a full week? For me, Postal was always this violent, intense, and fearless game that didn’t care about anything. Still, this doesn’t look nice or even play well. Kind of a bummer. Right now, I’d rather suffer through this than go through Postal 2.
People often forget how Postal 2 launched; it took many years of patches to reach its current state. Postal 4 is still being updated with free content, such as the surprising addition of 4-player co-op. If you’re looking for a more polished experience with features that haven’t been added yet, it might be best to wait and grab it on sale. Eventually, the game will reach its ideal state, and the developers will likely start working on expansion DLC after years of free updates.
Postal 4 isn’t necessarily terrible, but it’s got issues. If you want a polished, funny, and bug-free experience, this might not be it. But for fans of the wacky Postal series who enjoy some jank and dark humor, it could still be fun.
I agree. The only problem I had was that the FPS is unstable and the world feels kind of empty. There are NPCs, but nothing is really happening. In Postal 2, there were some crazy events going on, which made it more interesting.
