Best Web Hosting & Email Solution for Moving Away from GoDaddy?

Hey everyone,

I need some advice on moving my website and setting up professional email. Right now, my site and domain are with GoDaddy, but I want to switch to a better provider. Here’s what I need:

  1. Move my current website to a new host
  2. Set up a professional email using my current domain
  3. Register a new domain and host it on the same provider
  4. Create a separate professional email for the new domain

Questions:

  • Which web hosting provider would be best for this setup?
  • Can I manage both websites and emails easily in one place?
  • I’ve looked into Ionos and SiteGround, but I’m open to other suggestions. Are these good options?

Budget & Tech Details:

  • Budget: Around $5 per month
  • Location: USA
  • Website Type: WordPress
  • Traffic: ~1,000 visits/month
  • Experience: No experience with Linux servers or VPS management

I appreciate any recommendations or insights. Thanks in advance!

Check out Hivium. It’s within your budget, and they offer free website migration if you need help moving from GoDaddy. Since you have a WordPress site, the migration should be pretty easy.

You might want to look into SpeedyPage. Their hosting is reliable and should work well for your needs.

I’ve been using SpidyHost for 5 years, and it’s been great. They are part of WHG and offer solid support.

I recommend NixiHost. I host 5 WordPress websites with them and have never had issues. Their support team helped me migrate everything from my previous provider, and they’re based in Texas, USA.

If you pay annually, you can get a shared hosting plan for $5 per month, which includes unlimited emails, SSL, and security (Imunify360)—all features that I had to pay extra for with my last provider.

After researching, I realized we have two domain names registered with GoDaddy. Now, I need to:

  • Change one of the domains to a new domain name
  • Set up professional email for both domains

Hopefully, that’s something I can do with the same hosting provider.

If you’re changing the domain name of your WordPress website, you’ll need to set up proper redirects so you don’t lose your Google rankings. It’s best to have someone who knows web migrations handle it.

What’s your website currently built on? Is it GoDaddy’s Site Builder or WordPress? Also, how much storage are you using?

I’m not 100% sure, but I think it’s WordPress, and the storage is 1GB.

@Michelle
Send me your domain name in DM, and I’ll check for you.

Check out Netcup Webhosting. They have great uptime, and their support forum is active with quick responses. If you’re moving to a US-based hosting, they have affordable options.
