Is it possible to use both? Whenever I set up PorkBun email forwarding, it keeps wiping out my Zoho Mail MX records. So far, anything sent to the forwarded emails isn’t getting through.
You’ve got to pick one email host.
You can have different providers for sending and receiving emails, but you shouldn’t mix multiple inbound providers for one domain unless one is a backup. MX records work by priority, and if you have two records with the same priority pointing to different services, emails will get split randomly. If you really need two inbound services, you could set one up for a subdomain, which has its own MX records.
@Sterling
Exactly. And also, you don’t want to send emails to two places unless they’re synced somehow. If your main MX server goes down, emails will go to the backup. The problem is, now you have mail in two locations, and things can get confusing.
Who do you want your MX records to point to, PorkBun or Zoho Mail?
