Does anyone use SiteGround? My website sometimes takes 25-35 seconds to load during peak times, and customer support is bizarrely comical. (Very small, low traffic website) 🤨

I created a website for my portfolio. During good times, it loads in 1-3 seconds, but during the day, it can take up to 30 seconds to load, making it practically unusable. It only has 2 pages, nothing too demanding.

I tried talking to customer support, but they said they couldn’t replicate the problem and asked me to do some tests. I did, and the tests showed the problem, but their response was still “I can’t replicate this problem,” and they closed the ticket, saying I could reopen it if I wanted to.

The whole exchange was very bizarre. It felt like I was talking to someone on a different planet.

Many have tried Siteground and found their service lacking, yet subscriptions keep pouring in like flies to honey. Most online reviews are heavily biased as Siteground pays up to €75-80 per referral. Their basic support is often subpar, though this is a common issue across providers. Insist on speaking to a senior support member or consider switching to a host that prioritizes client satisfaction. For the tech-savvy, setting up a LAMP stack on a VPS for as little as $3 per month can deliver performance levels ten times better than what Siteground offers.

So what exactly is a substitute host? People claim it’s bad in every single one that I’m viewing.

Since last week, I’ve been experiencing problems I never had before. The support quality is declining, and overall, SiteGround’s quality is deteriorating. I’m baffled by their recent actions. I advise avoiding them; it’s perplexing how a once-excellent company can decline so rapidly in just a few weeks.
