I’m considering using IONOS for email hosting and would love to hear about your experiences. How reliable is their email server in terms of uptime and performance? What features do they offer, and how effective is their customer support?
A well-known supplier of cloud services and web hosting is IONOS, formerly known as 1&1. They service 8 million clients globally and oversee 12 million domains. IONOS is ranked by Forbes as one of the most dependable and secure hosting companies, with 99.9% uptime through 15 data centers spread across nine countries. Their plans include features like unlimited storage, a free Wildcard SSL certificate, daily backups, and a free corporate email account with 2GB of storage. They start at $1 per month for the first year and then $10 per month after that. Customer service is offered round-the-clock by phone, email, and chat, yet some consumers have complained about inconsistent quality. Keep in mind that they don’t provide free website migration assistance.
I’ve never had issues with Ionos to be honest. Junk mail tends to end up in the spam folder a bit more than it would in Gmail. The bouncing along with the spam issue spells trouble to me. Gmail business is expensive too
Users say their email server is reliable, with minimal downtime. They offer the basics like email addresses and webmail, but might not have all the fancy features of some other providers. Customer service reviews are a mixed bag. If you just need a simple, reliable email service, IONOS could be a good fit. If you need more features or guaranteed great customer support, you might want to look elsewhere.
