Hello, As a result, I am new to the whole cloud-based hosting issue. I have created websites in the past, but they normally used cPanel, whereas this one uses Virtualmin. I want to create an email address using mail@mydomain.com as the From name when sending emails from it, but I want to use a different email service—let’s say Gmail for now—to read and write emails. So, how would I go about doing that?
To create an email account using your own domain name, follow these steps:
- Log into your hosting account or email host and create the email address using your domain.
- Choose a plan and buy the email account if necessary.
- Set up the email account on your email app or phone.
- Connect your new domain email to Gmail or another email service if you prefer.
Your provider may offer postal services, but they are usually worthless. You can register with a major email provider (Outlook and Gmail are the two most popular ones) and then update your domain with the supplied DNS information.
To set up an email on a domain, you will have to do the follow the following procedure;
- Create an account with the email hosting company of your choice.
- Selecting your domain is step two.
- Purchase a personalized email domain.
- Make an email account.
It is preferable to look for a hosting provider that offers WHM/cPanel or DirectAdmin at a cheaper cost than what you can pay them directly.Additionally, there may be completely managed help available, in which case the support staff will handle the control panel itself and set up an email account on your behalf. They will provide you all the information you require.
