How does your 20i reseller hosting website look?

I just started a reseller hosting plan with 20i yesterday. I love the customization options as a web developer. I’m curious to see how others have set up their websites, especially the HostShop part with custom CSS. Would anyone be willing to share how they designed their websites?

What made you choose 20i?

20i can be pretty slow unless you use their cache plugin, which is also kind of slow.

Most 20i resellers don’t last long. Their business model starts you off with low fees, but after a year, they raise prices with just a month’s notice. Sometimes, it’s up to 10 times what you were paying, depending on how many sites you’ve made. Most 20i resellers end up going out of business within a year or two.

@Bradley I’m not a fan of 20i, but they don’t usually raise prices yearly. They only increased rates once recently, and it was about 2.5 times the original price, not 10 times.

@tabithabarbra You say you’re not a fan, but it sounds like you are

@David No, really, I’m not a fan. I just believe in being honest, and when people spread exaggerated info about a company, I feel like correcting it so others don’t just believe and spread it further.

@Bradley Are you talking about last year when they switched to the tiered pricing model? I think that was a one-time change. Or are you saying they do this regularly?

@Tracy Yeah, that was a one-time thing. They aren’t known for constantly changing their rates.

@Bradley What do you think about Nixihost? I’m considering setting up a reseller account with them for my marketing studio. I’ve been using their shared hosting and it’s been great so far.

@Kimberly For reseller hosting, I’d definitely recommend a cPanel reseller plan (like Nixihost) over a custom control panel like 20i. cPanel makes things easier for your customers and for you if you ever need to switch providers.

@tabithabarbra I’d stick with 20i. I’ve tried many others over the years and always end up back with them.

@David Glad it’s working for you. Personally, I’m not a fan of their control panel and found their hosting to be slow.

@tabithabarbra That’s surprising. I haven’t had speed issues with their control panel or hosting. They’re not the best, but I’ve seen worse for a higher price. It depends on what you need. If 20i doesn’t work for you, that’s fine :slightly_smiling_face:

@David Yeah, I’m not saying they’re the worst. I defended them in this thread a couple of months ago. But personally, I want fast websites for my clients, and when I had to manage a client’s site on 20i, it was slow and the control panel was buggy. I just prefer cPanel.

@Kimberly Yep, Nixihost is solid. It’s just 20i that’s the problem.

@Bradley Why even bother with low-end reseller hosting? Use cPanel or Plesk, get your own server, and do it right.

@Bradley I’ve been with 20i since 2017/2018, and I’ve never had any pricing issues like what you’re describing. They raised prices once when they introduced the new reseller tier system, but they even kept domain prices steady for resellers. I’m not sure where you got your info.

I’m a client of a web host that uses 20i reseller hosting with agency privileges. I don’t have full control of their customization options, but if you want to see how it looks, you’d have to DM me. Based on what I’m seeing here, the extra domains I’ve made might be adding to their site fees.
