No more free email on GoDaddy - are there any alternatives I should consider?

Hi everyone,

I have been using GoDaddy for years to host my business website and email address with my domain name. Now, they’re ending free email and switching to Microsoft 365 with a 2-month trial, after which I will have to pay.

Are there other hosts that let me keep my domain email address for free or cheaper? I forwarded my domain email to my personal Gmail, so if I can set it up in Gmail, that would work too. Please explain it simply, as I am not very tech-savvy.

Currently paying GoDaddy about $20/year, so something around that or a bit more?

If you’re looking for an alternative to GoDaddy’s paid email, Zoho Mail is a great option. They offer free email hosting for up to 5 users, and you can forward emails to your Gmail. Just sign up for Zoho Mail, verify your domain on GoDaddy by adding a TXT record, and set up email forwarding. It’s simple and keeps your costs down. Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 are also good options if you don’t mind paying a bit more.

Using Cloudflare’s email routing service would only set you back $8 annually.

I am also based in SW. Though I have not used the hosts from the sidebar, I am sure they are good.

If you are looking for UK hosts there are some I can suggest. Justhostme.co uk is based in Swindon. Stablepoint.com is ex vidahost guys. There are few recommended ones.

What is your budget you are looking for and any idea on the platform/CMS you are going to use?
