Regret Regarding Domain and Email Hosting with GoDaddy

I wanted to share my experience and regret about hosting my domain and email with GoDaddy. The costs have become too high, and I’ve been exploring more affordable options. GoDaddy charged me $500 for a 3-year Managed WordPress Deluxe plan. Additionally, they charged me around $100 for just 6 months of M365 email backup, advanced security, and archiving— all for just one email account. I need multiple emails, and I don’t want to stay with GoDaddy.

To cut my losses and save some money, should I consider switching to a different provider just for email, given that I’ve already paid for the hosting? I’m not very tech-savvy and would really appreciate some advice from you all.

When did they charge you? There should be a period during which you can cancel and get a refund, so it might be worth asking them first before switching providers in case they don’t offer a refund.

Also, did you just sign up with them, or have you been a customer for a long time?
