Server Location … Does It Really Impact My Speed?

I’m diving into the whole page speed thing (still a bit new to it) and noticing my mobile speed is a disaster, while desktop speed is fine.

I’ve heard that where your server is vs where your main audience is could make a difference.

My site’s audience is in Spain, but I’m using Bluehost with servers mainly in the US.

Could this be causing the issue? Should I look at changing servers?

I’d suggest moving to a server based in Spain or nearby, like Germany or the UK. It could make a difference. Some good ones to check out: Hetzner, Krystal UK, Zume UK, and similar.
