Hey everyone, I’ve been trying to check the DNS propagation for my website after making some changes to my hosting provider. I used to rely on a certain tool, but lately, it seems a bit unreliable or maybe I’m missing something. Could anyone recommend a good DNS propagation checker that’s easy to use and gives accurate results? I want to make sure everything is set up right without waiting too long to see the changes. I also switched hosting providers a while back and my go-to checker wasn’t cutting it anymore. Ugh!!!.. But no worries, there are a bunch of great options out there. These days, I use whatsmydns net. It’s super easy, checks your DNS from all over the world, and gives you the info fast. You’ll know in no time if your changes are showing up everywhere.
With cloudflare, my modifications take effect in less than a minute, and quad nine (9.9.9.9) follows up very instantly. Having said that, you should keep the TTL low; if you anticipate making changes soon, for example, 30’ is a decent period. In order to speed up propagation, you must migrate a host, set the TTL to 25, wait a day or two, then switch to the new IP and reset the TTL to one hour.
