What are some alternatives to HostGator?

I’ve had HostGator for years, but I didn’t use it as much as I wanted to. This month, HostGator almost doubled my plan’s price without warning. Last year, they increased it from $11.99 to $12.95, but now it’s $21.99. I use my site as a portfolio and to sell art. Is there a more affordable hosting option?

That is damn expensive!
I now understand why you are looking for alternatives.
You can consider the following two which are a bit affordable:

  1. Hostinger: They offer plans starting at $2.49/month with features like unlimited storage, databases, free site builder, and performance upgrades for WordPress. What makes them special is that they also provide free daily or weekly backups, a custom control panel, auto-installation scripts, SSH access, and unlimited free SSL certificates.
  2. Squarespace: It is known for its design-centric approach, Squarespace is a popular choice among artists and self-employed creatives. It offers user-friendly tools and customizable templates that could be beneficial for showcasing and selling your artwork

Someone’s getting ripped off. Consider other options like Bluehost and Dreamhost.
These offer a variety of options and are way cheaper than that.

Totally agree, I have tried Hostinger and it is great

My experience with HostGator was so unfavorable that I’m committed to assisting anyone who wishes to switch providers. I transitioned to NixiHost, which provided a seamless transfer of all my services.
