What's up with Newfold Digital?

I’m new here and looking at Newfold Digital from a business angle. Does anyone know what this company is all about? Just from reading posts on this forum, it seems like they’re not great - lots of downtime and poor support. Why are they still around? Who actually uses them, and why do people stick with them? Any insights are welcome since there’s not much info online. Trying to see if there’s some history behind this.

Newfold is backed by venture capitalists. They buy up good hosting companies and then prioritize profits over customer care.

I see. But if the info’s out there, why do people keep signing up?

@True
Many don’t know Newfold owns the brand, or they signed up before Newfold took over.

Makes sense. I saw a few companies listed on their site, but this forum has a longer list. Wonder why they’re not transparent about it.

@True
They probably don’t want people to easily connect the dots.

@True
They use heavy marketing and pay for positive reviews and affiliate partnerships.

Do you think most people leave after the initial few years?

@True
It’s a mix of strong marketing, affiliate programs, and SEO. Many people don’t realize there are better options.

Why do people still use them? Great marketing and affiliate programs. Almost all Newfold brands offer good affiliate deals, so people promoting them make money. If you search these providers, you’ll find good reviews, but if you dig deeper, you see the real picture. Most just see the surface-level positives.

New users often sign up through ads or blog recommendations for companies like Bluehost or GoDaddy. After a year or so, when they get more familiar, many decide to switch.
